Q:
Is there coffee on the menu?
A:
I believe in the desserts menu there is coffee.
Michelle S.1 year ago 1 person found this helpfulQ:
Is it reservation only or do they take walk-ins?
A:
It's a large restaurant, particularly when they can use the outdoor seating, weather permitting. So, depending on the time of day ( I love that they are open all day!) you can easily do a walk-in.

First time here for a busy day on Mother's Day!
They were able to book our reservation, party of 7, super late on Thursday. They first added us to the waitlist but then called us back within 30 min to let us know that they can accommodate us! Sent us a text confirmation and reminders for the next two days. It felt very organized and professional.
We were accommodated inside, but I would recommend booking outside in the nice patio.
The food and service were terrific! Very friendly staff, was able to get the attention of my 3 year old. Loved the authentic Spanish accents and laid back atmosphere.
We ordered to share: plates were small but delicious
Empanadas - 4 pieces
Ham croquettes - 4 balls
Lobster croquettes - 2 pieces
All season salad
For our main dishes we enjoyed grilled salmon, prime Wellington and large Maine lobster paella. The paella was my absolute favorite! You have to try it when you are here. The large portion was $92 and can be comfortably shared between 4-5 people. The regular size paella is recommended for 2 people and is $58.
Sangria was delicious as well.
Dessert was ok, we tried churros filled with Nutella and the baked cookie which was super rich with ice cream on top.
Parking was a little tricky (this is a busy plaza) come early or park on the street.
Overall, amazing experience and we will be back!
Pricing is slightly on the higher end but given the location, quality and current economy- I am glad to have the opportunity to experience such quality food and service.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chloe L.SoMa, San Francisco, CA0939May 18, 2024
Breezy outdoor seating and a warmly lit restaurant indoors. Refreshing drinks and bites. I'd recommend getting a paella and tapas to share. Dishes are flavorful but I find the seafood to be less fresh than expected. Servers are friendly and attentive, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Highly recommend making a reservation 3-5 days prior.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wendy R.San Jose, CA01088May 11, 2024
Went for an early Friday dinner with reservations. To be honest, the hosts were borderline rude and definitely not communicating with each other. This was our first time here, so this was a bumpy start. However, once seated, the entire staff was attentive, made great recommendations, and made up for the start.
Food: 6 small dishes for a party of two was recommended and this left room for dessert. The dishes were brought out in a very timely manner and **everything ** was delicious.
Ambiance: vibrant, loud,and crowded. Not the best place if you're hoping to chat at all.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 173304623May 16, 2024
Came here on a Thurs night with a last minute reservation. The restaurant is beautiful, but we sat outside which doesn't quite have the same ambiance. The food was mixed. Got a lot of the classics - tapas (patatas bravas, octopus, ham croquets), and pork paella. I liked the tapas and would get those again. The veggies we got (brussels sprouts and cauliflower) were a bit too greasy IMO. The paella was disappointing, as the pork was pretty tough and I had high expectations for the iberico ham. But we enjoyed the dessert, so that ended the night on a high note. Got the trio, which gave us a good variety of desserts for the 4 of us to share. Nothing was too sweet, and it was a nice mix of textures with the churros, French toast, ice cream, and rice pudding.

I've been here twice now, once as part of a company event and once with family. Overall, I think the food is high quality and unique. I like the tapas concept although I think the tapas portions could be bigger for the price.
The highlights of the tapas were the jamon iberico, tuna tacos, crab croquettes, brussel sprouts, and octopus. The jamon is really good but was a bit salty the second time I came.
I wasn't a huge fan of the vegetable paella, think I didn't like the seaweed base. However, the drinks and dessert were both great. I liked the torrija over the churros.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2024
Made reservations for a Sunday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. Once arriving, the hostess wished him a happy birthday and we were seated immediately.
Service was quick and friendly at the start of the meal but dropped off towards the end. Our waiter ended his shift mid meal and we were assigned another waiter. He was nice, but was not super attentive. He did not acknowledge my husband's birthday until I inquired if there was anything special they could do for him.
The food was for the most part very tasty. However I do not think the price point justified the portions provided. For example, the paella bombs were $6 each for a tiny deep fried arancino. It was supposed to be filled with shrimp bisque but it came separately in a syringe for us to inject. A fun concept, but the bisque gushed out of the sides.
The prime Wellington we ordered was $38 and was the size of a hot pocket and came with just three tiny potatoes. The jamon iberico ($29) did not come with any bread so we had to order pan con tomate ($9) on the side. The all seasons salad was basically the consistency of guacamole. My husband said he had ordered this same dish a few months ago and the texture was completely different. The table next to us ordered the same dish they did not finish it as well. The cocktails we ordered were pretty but just okay in flavor.
We ordered the Torrija for dessert. After our waiter brought out the dessert, he brought out a smaller portion of Torrija with a candle as the "birthday dessert". I appreciate the gesture but it seemed a little odd to have 2 portions of the same thing. We also noticed that they charged an automatic gratuity of 20% for a party of 2. We usually tip 20% anyways but I feel like that choice should be up to the customer.
I wish I could rate this restaurant higher, but after reflecting, I think a 3/5 is fair given our experience.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2Business owner information

Hola April. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear that your last visit to our restaurant did not meet your expectations.
It really breaks our heart to hear that your husband's birthday celebrations was not up to our standards. Please know we understand how inconvenient it can be to not be informed of the birthday dessert you will get and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will make sure our management team shares this experience with our front of the house team so they make sure our servers share this information with our guests if the same dessert has been ordered.
Your experience regarding the paella bombs and all seasons salad it deeply important to us and we strive to meet our guests expectations with each and every dish we serve. Please know we'll work to improve the overall experience of our restaurant.
It's important for you to know that the 20% service charge is used to equally distribute the tip to all the staff involved in the serving process (and not only your server). However, this service charge can be removed by your server or a manager, especially when the service is not on point.
We would love it if you could give us another chance. If so, please connect at info@telefericbarcelona.com.

The vibes here are immaculate. This modern Spanish restaurant is perfect for birthday dinners or a casual place to get drinks with friends.
I look forward to the drinks the most here! The cocktails are very creative with beautiful presentation. My favorites are the sangria barceloneta with cava (also has lemonade, raspberry, and rosemary flavors) and the rose drink. Others I came with ordered the gin and tonic and red sangria and they were all amazing. Such attention to detail.
Next, the food is high quality. My favorite tapas are the octopus and the crispy tuna tacos. I also tried the paella and skewers. Everything was seasoned well and perfectly balanced. Especially the octopus! Bonus points for food presentation as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2024
I have mixed feelings about this place! The tapas were wonderful but the paella was disappointing. I ordered the tuna tacos, patatas bravas, and the squid ink paella.
What worked:
-- the potatoes were delicious and super creamy!
-- there was a nice mix of seafood in the paella
-- service was great and the space was lively but not too loud
What didn't work:
-- the paella disappointed. I felt like there wasn't a lot of flavor, the rice seemed like it needed a little more time to cook, and there was no crispy rice at the bottom of the pan (disappointing!)
Overall, I'd come back for tapas, not for an entree or paella. I think this would be a great place if you want drinks and to try a variety of small dishesHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hola Mira. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry to hear that our paella was not up to our standards at the time of your visit.
We understand how disappointing it can be when a dish falls short of standards. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will address it with our culinary team to ensure improvements are made. Additionally, we want to clarify that our crispy rice, known as 'socarrat,' is not included by default in the paella but can be requested upon ordering.
We would love it if you could give us another chance. If so, connect at info@telefericbarcelona.com

This place is amazing! Reservations were made way in advance, and I can see why. The place was packed when we got there. Both indoors and outside have a cute vibe. They have outdoor heaters which are nice and lots of lighting. We sat indoors, and we were greeted right away with a smile. Their menu has lots of options, and the server was able to make suggestions based on our likings. The food turned out great. So flavorful. Presented neatly. We left full and completely satisfied.

Ordered: Crab Croqueta, Paella Negra, Barceloneta Sangria
To start, this restaurant's ambiance is very nice! You don't have to dress fancy, more casual than classy. Lights are pretty low, but each table kinda has its own spotlight.
We ordered the crab croquetas as our appetizer and it amazed me. Mashed potato and crab filling fried with a panko crust and topped with a slice of tuna and drizzled with some sort of garlic aioli. It was beautiful. Keep in mind though, the appetizer only comes in 2 pcs and they're pretty small, but definitely worth trying in my opinion!
We also ordered the Barceloneta Sangria. It was very pretty drink coming out (the bright pink shined under the restaurant lights), BUT I would recommend skipping this. It just tasted like sparkling water with a small hint of berry. Definitely not worth but it is pretty for pictures.
The paella negra was the last dish to come out (I think it took around 30-40 minutes so keep in mind that you should not order this if you're in a rush). This was a really good dish! Squid inked rice filled with octopus, scallop, clam and shrimp, it definitely had a good amount of seafood and the flavor was on point.
Overall, would love to come back here and try the other paella.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1
